Hi, I'm Tamara Ceman.

I’ve spent most of my 16+ year career in the B2B tech and SaaS sector. For the last 6 years, I served as the head of marketing and a director in two companies with product-led growth at the core and advised a dozen more.

My center of operations is in Budapest, Hungary (reason pictured to the right), and I service clients worldwide. I work best with companies in or expanding to NA, EMEA, and APAC/ASIANA markets. While I speak several languages, I only deliver services in English.

When I work, I like to go deep. Get my hands dirty. Ask the tough questions. Color outside the lines with intent.

I am a big supporter and believer in PLG. (Duh.)

Many traditional companies can learn from this growth strategy, but I also believe it doesn’t work for every company, industry, or buyer segment. Sales-led and product-led can be best friends, but never replace each other.

It's an extension of my personal brand. Established in 2021, Practical Marketer is an umbrella that holds a wide variety of projects, like workshops, resources, and on-demand courses (coming soon) that are not just confined to the Tech space.

While I absolutely love my work in SaaS, as a multi-grained marketer, I don’t want to be limited to just one industry. Because marketing, at its core, is the same for any vertical. I’ve advised over a hundred companies throughout my career, some were tech, some were finance, most were B2B, and I had my fair share of B2C companies too. 

And what I learned is, most problems companies face can be put into three leaky buckets.

  • Lack of audience/customer knowledge
  • Unstructured approach to marketing
  • Absence of strong people managers
